Privacy Policy for EEG TraceLab
Overview
EEG TraceLab is a local-first EDF / EDF+ research and education tool for non-clinical signal inspection. It is designed for research, education, and local review of EEG/iEEG signal recordings. It is not designed for clinical diagnosis, treatment, clinical monitoring, emergency use, seizure detection, medical reporting, or medical decision support.
Local-first processing and storage
By default, EEG TraceLab does not upload raw EDF files, analysis results, workspace data, or exports to developer servers. The app processes and stores the following information on your device:
- imported EDF/EDF+ files or local copies
- anonymised recording identifiers
- user-provided display names / research notes
- local analysis results
- preprocessing runs
- parameter presets
- workspace/project metadata
- exported CSV/JSON/PNG/bundle files
- purchase entitlement state cached locally from StoreKit
- optional Sign in with Apple local identifier if enabled
Your control
You control files that you import, create, export, share, or delete from the app and from iOS storage locations available to you.
Payments and subscriptions
Payments and subscriptions are handled by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. EEG TraceLab does not receive your complete payment card number or payment credentials.
Support and feedback
If you actively contact the developer through email, the website support form, or the in-app Send Feedback form, your submitted information will be used to respond to support requests, debug issues, and understand product feedback. If you submit the website support form, the website sends the following user-provided information to EEG TraceLab's Supabase Edge Function and email forwarding service:
- contact name
- contact email
- support message
- for in-app feedback only: contact email, feedback message, iOS version, and device model
Support use boundary
The website support form does not accept attachments and does not send raw EDF files, exports, workspace data, analysis data, medical records, or local attachments. The iOS version and device model fields in the in-app feedback form are typed manually by you. EEG TraceLab does not automatically read or send device model, iOS version, app version, build number, bundle identifier, timestamp, workspace data, recording metadata, analysis results, exports, raw EDF files, or local attachments as part of feedback submission.
Feedback details are used only for customer support, debugging, and product feedback. They are not used for tracking, not used for advertising, and not sold. Do not include patient names, patient IDs, raw EDF content, or personal health information. Do not send patient identifiers, medical records, raw EDF files, or personal health information unless you intentionally choose to do so.
Tracking, advertising, and data sale
EEG TraceLab does not use advertising tracking, third-party advertising SDKs, or sell personal data. The current app does not include a developer-operated cloud sync system, analytics SDK, or advertising SDK.
Deleting data
You can delete the app to delete local app data stored in the app container. Files that you exported or saved outside the app may need to be deleted separately from the location where you stored them. For content you actively sent to the developer through email, support, or feedback systems, contact official@eegtracelab.com to request deletion.
Children
EEG TraceLab is not directed to children. The app is intended for research, education, and non-clinical signal inspection by users who can lawfully manage the recordings they import.
